I waited.
Then I doubted.
It’s so hard to wake up wondering if this is the day, when you finally get the answer.
What if. What if you failed? What if you’ve rejected? What if all the effort you made will not qualify to the one thing you want?
What will you choose? Will your situation speak to you or will you speak to your situation?
I reminded myself, that this was a place where my trust in God has to step in. That I should stop focusing on other people’s blessing and stop comparing myself to them because definitely I’ll get insecure.
That I must choose to set my mind that He has a greater plan. I should not waver, but trust His word and know that He’ll come through.
And so I trusted in the truth of Isaiah 58:11
“The Lord will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail”. (NIV)
1. He will guide you always. Always! Know that God is ordering your steps. If you don’t like where you are, don’t worry, it’s just a step. A step for you to check your heart, your goals, and your motives why you want it?
I’ve been there. God is not going to bless a goal motivated by greed, envy, fear or pride. But he does honor your goal that is motivated by a desire to demonstrate love to Him and to others, because life is all about relationships and not accomplishments.
2. God will satisfy your needs and strengthen you. In your tough, struggling and hopeless place He has a reason.
You don’t need to negotiate with God for Him to satisfy your needs. He knows it, you simply need to trust. When He promises you something, He doesn’t give you the full details because He is testing how you will respond during the wait. Time may be moving slow in your eyes, but understand He’s preparing you, equipping, molding and shaping you.
Why? What is His reason?
3. You will be like a spring whose waters never fail.
A spring brings life and joy to others.
A spring equips to natures changes.
A spring overflowing with love and selfless service – to your family, neighbors and to those who are hard to love.
Now, rest in the assurance that if something is to be, it isn’t up to you, it’s up to God. You don’t need to twist God’s arm for Him to answer your desires. He knows what is best for you.
If He makes it happen without all your chaotic self-effort, then you’ll know it is His best.
And if doesn’t happen, thank Him from saving you from yourself. He is doing something important in your life, something different from what you expected
